DigitalThink Educar LLC respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you visit our website, make purchases, or participate in our courses and applications.
By using our website, completing a purchase, or participating in our courses, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Notice. Please review this notice carefully and check back periodically for updates.
Age Restrictions
This service is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not use our website, courses, or applications.
Our SPEAK UP™ Course is restricted to adults 18 and older. Other applications may be used by persons 13 years or older, with parental permission if under 18. Only persons 18 years or older may make purchases.
Information We Collect
1. Website Visitors and Purchasers
Purchase Process via Stripe Checkout:
- Contact Information: Email address for course access and communications
- Billing Information: Billing address for payment processing
- Payment Information: Processed by Stripe (see Third-Party Payment Processing below); we do not store complete payment card information on our servers
- Purchase Details: What product was purchased and date of purchase
- Technical Information: IP address at time of purchase
Website Analytics:
- Device information, browser type, IP address
- Pages visited, time spent on site
- Referral sources and navigation patterns
Communications: Content of any communications you send to us by email or through the course platform.
2. SPEAK UP™ Course Participants
When you enroll in and participate in the SPEAK UP™ Course, we collect:
- Account Information: Name, email, profile information you provide on the course platform (Skool)
- Cohort Participation: Your enrollment date, cohort assignment, and attendance/engagement records
- Submitted Work: Speech drafts, completed worksheets, and any recordings you voluntarily submit to the instructor for feedback
- Instructor Messages: Content of messages you exchange with the instructor
- Community Activity: Posts, comments, and other content you share in the cohort community space
- Live Session Participation: Your presence in Live Sessions, your displayed name, chat messages you send during sessions, and content of any speech you choose to deliver during a Live Session
Live Session Recordings. DigitalEducar does not record Live Sessions. The instructor will not record or distribute Live Sessions. However, please be aware that DigitalEducar cannot fully control whether other participants comply with the rules against recording. The Participant Code of Conduct prohibits participants from recording, but we cannot guarantee enforcement against every individual.
Sensitive Information. During the Course, you may voluntarily share information about your professional background, workplace situations, fears about speaking, or personal experiences. We treat this as confidential within the cohort. You are not required to share any sensitive information, and we recommend you only share what you are comfortable having other participants and the instructor hear.
3. Personal Improvement Application Users (Other Products)
For applications other than SPEAK UP™:
- Account Information: Username for account identification (for applications that require accounts)
- Login Credentials: Username and encrypted password (for applications that require login)
- Learning Progress: Quiz scores and study progress (for applications that store progress data)
- Session Data: Current interactions during active sessions
4. Technical Information
- Server Logs: IP address, browser type, device information, access times (for security and operations)
- Cookies: Small text files for website functionality, security, and basic analytics
- Hosting Infrastructure: Our web infrastructure is hosted by service providers (such as Digital Ocean) which may process technical data as part of providing hosting services
How We Use Your Information
Website and Purchase Activities:
- Process payments through Stripe and deliver course access and confirmations
- Respond to inquiries and provide customer support
- Manage course access and enrollment
- Send purchase confirmations, course schedules, important notices, and post-course communications
- Analyze website usage and improve user experience
Course Delivery:
- Provide course content, Live Sessions, and instructor feedback
- Track your enrollment and provide access to course materials
- Communicate course information, schedule changes, and reminders
- Improve the course and develop future cohorts
- Maintain Cohort safety and enforce the Participant Code of Conduct
General Operational Uses:
- Maintain system security and prevent unauthorized access or fraud
- Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal process
- Enforce our Course Services Agreement and Participant Code of Conduct
We do not use your information for advertising or sell it for advertising purposes.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
We Share Information With:
Stripe Payment Processing. When you make a purchase, your payment information is processed by Stripe according to Stripe's privacy policy. We recommend reviewing Stripe's privacy practices at https://stripe.com/privacy.
Course Delivery Platforms. SPEAK UP™ is delivered using Third-Party Platforms, including:
- Skool (course content, community, and member management) — https://www.skool.com/privacy
- Video conferencing platform for Live Sessions (such as Zoom, Google Meet, or similar) — review the platform's privacy policy at the time of session
- Email delivery service for course communications
When you use these platforms, you enter into a separate relationship with the platform provider and are subject to its privacy policy. We do not control what data these platforms collect from you. Account creation on Skool (or the equivalent platform we use) is required to access the Course.
Hosting Infrastructure. Our applications and websites are hosted on cloud infrastructure (such as Digital Ocean), which may have access to technical data as part of providing hosting services.
Email Service Providers. We use email and newsletter delivery providers to send course communications, confirmations, and the optional newsletter.
Legal Requirements. We may disclose information to law enforcement or other parties when required by law, in response to valid legal process, or to protect our rights, the safety of users, or to enforce our agreements.
We Do NOT:
- Sell your personal information to third parties
- Share your information for third-party marketing purposes
- Use your data for advertising
- Share your privately submitted work (speech drafts, recordings, instructor messages) with other participants or use it for marketing without your separate, specific written consent
Cohort Visibility — Important Notice
When you participate in the SPEAK UP™ Cohort:
- Your name and profile as displayed on Skool will be visible to other Cohort participants
- Your community posts and comments will be visible to other Cohort participants
- Your presence and displayed name in Live Sessions will be visible to other Cohort participants
- Any speech you choose to deliver in a Live Session will be seen and heard by other Cohort participants
- Any chat messages you send during Live Sessions will be visible to other Cohort participants
The Participant Code of Conduct prohibits other participants from recording, sharing, or disclosing what you share, but DigitalEducar cannot guarantee compliance by every participant. Please share accordingly.
Third-Party Payment Processing
Payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. When you make a purchase:
- You will be directed to Stripe's secure checkout page
- Stripe processes your payment information according to its privacy policy
- We receive confirmation of payment and your email/billing address for course delivery
- We do not store complete payment card information on our servers

Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We Use Cookies For:
- Essential website functionality, security, and maintaining purchase sessions
- Basic analytics to improve our services
- Remembering your preferences and settings
Cookie Management. You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect website functionality. We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" signals.
Third-Party Tracking. We do not allow third-party advertising networks to track users on our website.
Data Retention and Deletion
We retain information as follows:

Some data may be retained longer where required by law, where necessary to enforce our agreements, or where necessary to defend against legal claims.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:
- Encrypted data transmission and storage where feasible
- Access controls limiting personal information to a need-to-know basis
- Use of certified third-party processors (Stripe) for payment data
- Reasonable infrastructure security through our hosting providers
However, no internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using our website, courses, and applications, you consent to such transfers.
